Nearly twenty-five thousand households in south-east Queensland were left without power on Monday's dawn after powerful weather events swept through the area, producing powerful gusts reaching 109km/h.
Substantial Frozen Precipitation and Extensive Destruction
Homeowners witnessed giant hailstones as large as 7cm in some areas. Meteorological experts confirmed that various areas across Queensland had been impacted by large hailstones.

Utility workers were attempting to repair energy supply throughout the damaged zones, with nearly 70 crews deployed to manage the widespread outages.
Victoria's Climate Difficulties
Meanwhile, approximately one thousand households in Victoria also encountered power outages after the metropolitan area experienced its most precipitation in 18 months.
Rescue organizations responded to over five hundred emergency reports across the area, mostly for structural issues but also for collapsed vegetation and water accumulation.

- Wyndham area - nearly 180 help reports
At the height on the previous day, in excess of 28,000 power users in the state were without power.
Climate Outlook
Humid circumstances were forecast to persist along much of eastern Queensland this next several days as a low-pressure trough continued to draw in moisture against the coast.
Tomorrow was forecast to be the wettest day, with continued thunderstorm potential predicted across multiple regions of both regions.
Health Warning
Health officials alerted that there was an greater possibility of epidemic thunderstorm asthma across the state's northern country region, particularly given the current weather patterns.
This warning comes after previous incidents where analogous circumstances led to major medical consequences in the region.
