Green Spirit, with a clean slate after four outings which included a Group Three win at Longchamp last time out, leads the local challenge this afternoon and also ranks first in Timeform’s figures. But from Ballydoyle Diamond Necklace (unbeaten) is also undefeated – following two runs – , so is expected to give her a tough challenge. Diamond Necklace took a black-type race during Champions Weekend this autumn and a win for this offspring of St Mark’s Basilica would also be a big moment for her sire.
